United Kingdom. New COVID-19 free testing site

Professional drivers staying in the UK for more than 48 hours must pass the COVID-19 test before boarding the ferry or Eurotunnel train,

According to British government websites, a new free driver testing facility for COVID-19 has opened at the Essex Arena, open 24 hours a day.

This is one of the many points where you can test yourself for coronavirus, but it is one of the few that is open 24 hours a day. Tests are performed free of charge.

Drivers and crew using Dover and Eurotunnel will get fast-tracked past queues if they get tested and have a valid Kent Access Permit before arriving in Kent.

There are not only test points, but also haulier consultation points for travel advice to and from the UK at gas stations and truck stops on the motorways. Most advice sites are open between 6am and 9.30pm, 7 days a week.
