By | 24 February 2021

From midnight 20.02.2021 Denmark has closed some small border crossings with Germany imposing traffic restrictions. Below is a list of border crossings which remain open, with a brief description

  • Frøslev/Ellund (E45) – open 24 hrs, special lane for trucks
  • Padborg – open 24 hrs
  • Sæd – open 24 hrs
  • Pebersmark – open from 10:00 untill 18:00
  • Kruså – open for vehicles below 3.5t total weight, open 24 hrs

There are more detailed checks at these borders so delays are to be expected.

In general, transport drivers are exempt from quarantine and negative test results in Denmark. The exception is drivers returning from the UK – these drivers should prove a negative COVID-19 test result, not older than 24 hours from entering Denmark.

There is also one more rule in Denmark, that all professional drivers must obey: if they are not performing their official duties they must stay isolated in their vehicle.
