Belgium – transport workers exempted from filling the Sworn Statement

By | 17 February 2021

From 13/02/2021, the obligation to have a declaration of business purpose to Belgium has been abolished in the case of drivers transporting goods. During the inspection, an oral declaration that professional driver entered Belgium for business purposes is sufficient.

However, there is an obligation to fill in the location form and the business trip form by drivers who:

  • have their principal place of residence in Belgium and are on a business trip abroad for more than 48 hours
  • they live outside Belgium but intend to stay in Belgium for more than 48 hours.
